Bay Springs namesake, a natural spring, continues to flow today and is pictured here many years ago. The gazebo is kept still the same but is surrounded by a rose garden and a path leading into the structure.
As in this picture, the spring water was used for baptismal purposes.
Bay Springs and Jasper County are blessed with many natural springs, which were frequently visited for their healing qualities.
